Kentucky Kingdom Storm Chaser Construction Photos

Kentucky Kingdom is making considerable progress on their new-for-2016 Storm Chaser coaster. The Rocky Mountain Construction project is using the steel support structure of the former dueling Twisted Twins wooden coaster.

The crest of the coaster’s 100-foot-tall lift hill has been completed:

The element taking shape following the lift hill is the inverting “barrel roll downdrop.”

This inverted drop will be the first of Storm Chaser’s three inversions.
