Schlitterbahn Galveston Building World’s Tallest Water Coaster

The slide, as seen below, looks more like a compact roller coaster than it does a water coaster.

While the exact height of the waterslide will be announced at a later date, Schlitterbahn says it will be the tallest “uphill” waterslide in the world. The slide will stretch 926 feet in length.

The slide will sport a green, white and red color scheme with a “translucent ‘belly of the beast’ section.”

Massiv will use the patented Master Blaster technology, using of water are to blast riders uphill.

The slide will include four uphill blasts. Riders will be seated alone or with another rider in a double tube raft. The slide will also feature a never-done-before triple-down exiting into the landing pool. The slide will feature 135 segments made of 203 fiberglass parts.

Massiv is expected to open in the summer of 2016. To learn more, visit Schlitterbahn’s website.
