Six Flags St. Louis today announced its ninth roller coaster — Rookie Racer. This family coaster, manufactured by Vekoma, will feature Formula 1 racecar-style trains and allow riders 36″ and taller to experience a max speed of 27 mph with 843 feet of steel track.
Rookie Racer will have an initial banked drop, a series of S-curves and a 540-degree helix.
Rookie Racer’s train will feature eight cars and will hold up to 16 riders in each cycle.
This sit-down family coaster is expected to open summer 2023.
Rookie Racer is a surprising last minute add to the list of roller coasters opening in 2023.
