Knott’s Berry Farm Expanding “Taste of Knott’s” Festival

After kicking off the so far highly successful “Taste of Calico” food festival a couple of weeks ago and recently adding more dates, Knott’s Berry Farm just announced they’re expanding the event. Beginning on August 21, the new “Taste of Knott’s” expands the festival beyond Ghost Town. It will include offerings throughout Fiesta Village and Boardwalk in addition to Ghost Town. Knott’s is also adding more food and drink to a list that now includes 35 different options.

New items will offer more variety in dishes, with Mexican inspired cuisine and Knott’s BBQ. They’ll also be featuring dishes pulled from the pages of the Knott’s Berry Farm cookbook. Along with additional food, you can shop at 14 different artisan booths as well as certain Knott’s stores.

The new, expanded festival runs Fridays-Sundays from August 21st to September 13. Hours will be 12-9 PM Friday and Saturday, and 12-8 PM on Sunday. As with the Taste of Calico, you need to buy a tasting card in advance at knotts.com for entry. Additional tasting cards or a la carte food and drink can be bought once you get inside, but you can’t enter without one bought ahead.

Taste of Calico completely sold out for its dates, so I’d recommend trying to get your reservation and tasting card early. I heard positive reviews from friends who’ve been to Taste of Calico both on the food quality and the parks line/crowd management, so it sounds like a great way to visit the park safely right now. If you’ve been to taste of Calico, let us know in the comments what you thought!
