The A-Z Coaster of the Week is the Quantum Loop, a former roller coaster at Seabreeze Amusement Park in Rochester, New York and now currently operating in South America. Quantum Loop was originally built in 1983 by a little known french company called Soquet. It initially operated for a French fair circuit before being bought by Seabreeze where it open in 1994. It ceased operation at Seabreeze in 2003 and was replaced by the Whirlwind spinning coaster.
The ride was moved and reopened at Salitre Magico in Bogotá, Colombia in 2004 where it is still operating today as the Bambo Coaster. The portable steel looper completes two consecutive loops after the first drop.
