Dorney Park Announces Iron Menace Dive Coaster for 2024

Coming in 2024, brave guests at Dorney Park will be able to ride the northeast’s first dive coaster, Iron Menace. The seven-across, three row deep trains will be hauled up a 160 foot hill where you’ll be held suspended for three seconds over the 152 foot, 95-degree beyond vertical drop. Four inversions follow including the first ever inclined (tilted) loop on a dive coaster.

This will be Dorney Park’s third roller coaster by B&M, joining Talon and Hydra (and 8th coaster total). Overall, this will be the 17th B&M dive coaster in the world, the 6th in the US, and just the second to feature 7-across seating and a beyond vertical drop. It will also be tied with Yukon Striker for most inversions on a dive coaster with four.

Iron Menace will be the first B&M dive coaster in the US to go straight into the drop from the lift rather than having a 180 or 90 degree slow turn (and just the 3rd one like that in the world).

The ride will cover 2,169 feet of track in two minutes and hit a top speed of 64 miles per hour.
