Pantheon at Busch Gardens Williamsburg Officially Opens March 25

The final domino has fallen for opening dates for SeaWorld Parks’ new-for-2020-2021- 2022 roller coasters. Harnessing the power of five Roman Gods, Pantheon will open at Busch Gardens Williamsburg on Friday, March 25, 2022.

Pantheon joins Iron Gwazi at Busch Gardens Tampa (March 11), Ice Breaker at SeaWorld Orlando (February 18), and Emperor at SeaWorld San Diego (March 12) as roller coasters in the chain opening in the coming months.

However, if you’re a Busch Gardens Williamsburg “Member,” you won’t have to wait that long. Member previews begin on Friday, March 4 for Platinum Members, and Saturday, February 5 for all other members. Previews will continue on March 6, 11, 12, and 13 before the grand opening.

Members are encouraged to visit a self-service kiosk on their preferred date to receive a voucher to redeem for one ride.

The world’s fastest multi-launch roller coaster, Pantheon stands 180′ tall and reaches top speeds of 73 mph. It features a 95-degree drop from a top-hat, 4 launches (including one in reverse), five air-time moments, and two inversions.  This all-new coaster incorporates five mighty gods, including Pluto, Mercury, Jupiter, Minerva, and Neptune, with an aspect of the track reflecting their respective powers.

Riders must be a minimum of 52″ tall (4’4″) to ride, and cannot be taller than 76″ (6’4″).

Pantheon will become Busch Gardens ninth roller coaster when it opens. Will it dethrone Alpengeist as the “Most Thrilling” coaster at Busch Gardens Williamsburg? Only time will tell!

In January 2020, we visited Pantheon for a construction tour. Take a look at that here!
