DOF Robotics Partners With Feld Entertainment on VR Monster Jam Simulator
After working with world giants such as Marvel and Universal Studios, DOF Robotics is now collaborating with FELD entertainment company on the new Monster Jam Grave Digger Virtual Reality Simulator. The simulator made its debut on the IAAPA Expo Show Floor this week.
The dynamic simulator with 6 independent axes (DOF) offers a wide variety of motions including Pitch, Roll and Yaw to provide realistic driving. Equipped with high-quality VR headsets and strong wind effects, the driving simulator allows guests to experience lifelike driving on the legendary Grave Digger.
Monster Jam is known as a series of monster trucks organized by Feld Entertainment. This series, which started in 1992, attracted a lot of attention, especially in North America, and became the longest-running monster truck event. The DOF Robotics simulator looks exactly like the iconic Monster Truck. Monster Jam fans can not only watch Grave Digger from afar, but also experience the feeling of being the driver of Grave Digger.
The 6-axis DOF stand-alone attraction is perfect for indoor entertainment venues like FECs, theme parks and shopping centers.
DOF Robotics has a Grave Digger VR concept. They sold one within 10 mins of the show floor opening. The floor model doesn't go upside down but a newer version has 360 degree movement. 6 and 9 seater models available. Other Monster Jam concepts in the works. #IAAPAExpo pic.twitter.com/S5BZphlesr

During the IAAPA Expo, attendees and buyers will be able to examine the simulator closely and test this experience. Mustafa Mertcan, Chairman of the Board of DOF Robotics, said, “As DOF Robotics, we are proud to realize one of our dreams. The Monster Jam simulator has become one of the studies that shows what we can achieve. We will continue to dream and believe in our dreams.”
After experiencing Monster Jam: Thunder Alley at Carowinds earlier this season, I wonder if Feld Entertainment has big plans for the VR Simulator attraction already! Guess we’ll have to wait and see!
