Firefighters were called to Six Flags Magic Mountain about 1:30 PM Pacific Time as Six Flags Magic Mountain’s Iconic “Colossus” Roller Coaster caught on fire, resulting in a collapse of the track at the crest of one of the coaster’s hills. No injuries were reported.
Update: Six Flags Magic Mountain has released a statement regarding the Colossus fire:
The fire at the top of the lift hill at Colossus is now out. The park was closed today and there were no injuries.

Colossus recently closed to make way for the hybrid “Twisted Colossus” coaster, which was set to debut in spring of 2015. It was the tallest and fastest roller coaster in the world when it opened in 1978.
