The world is patiently awaiting Goliath’s awakening at Six Flags Great America. But in the meantime, Goliath manufacturer Rocky Mountain Construction shared some spectacular aerials of the coaster on Facebook. Below we’ve posted a few of them:
The 180-foot drop looks quite intimidating from the top.
This shot shows the mix of wood and steel supporting the overbank top-hat and final turn.
Goliath’s beautiful support structure frames X-Flight, Giant Drop and most of Raging Bull perfectly.
Soon trains of 24 guests will be hanging upside down on the inverted zero-g stall.

Stay tuned as Goliath is believed to debut to the public sometime late next week!

Goliath at SFGAM is already looking very good, and is sure to be very promising… even though SFGAM has yet to begin testing the 2nd train, as well as testing both trains with the water-filled test dummies.
Hoping that we’ll be seeing updates on 2 other Six Flags coasters very soon… Medusa: Steel Coaster at Six Flags Mexico… and Speedy Gonzales: Hot Rod Racers at Six Flags Magic Mountain. I’m already waiting for the 2015 season announcement in August… I’m predicting SFGAM possibly receiving 242ft tall SkyScreamer ride in 2015, possibly in the former Ragin Cajun area… as well as predicting SFGADV, Great Escape, SFNE, SFOG, & SFOT each receiving new coaster… and hopefully finding out if SFMM’s Colossus is to receive steel I-Box re-track.
Goliath will open on June 19th, according to SFGAM’s whats new page.
