Kings Island reached an exciting milestone today when construction crews installed the first piece of track of the park’s new-for-2024 family roller coaster, Snoopy’s Soap Box Racers.
Announced in August 2023, Snoopy’s Soap Box Racers is a Vekoma “Family Boomerang” model. It stands 75 feet tall and features a top speed of 37 mph as the 20-seat train traverses forward and backward through the 672-foot-long track.

The coaster will be the centerpiece of the new Camp Snoopy area, an expansion of the existing Planet Snoopy. It will be Kings Island’s 15th roller coaster and its fifth kid-friendly coaster.

The park shared with us photos of the shiny brown track — the base of the tire-driven lift hill — being put into place.
