Dollywood Unveils New Dolly Parton Experience Renderings

The Dolly Parton Museum — dubbed the Dolly Parton Experience — is scheduled to open this spring, and Dollywood has just released new renderings of the immersive, interactive exhibits.

The Dolly Parton Experience will feature “interactive elements to make guests feel as if they were alongside Dolly as she journeyed from Locust Ridge to stages around the world.”

Dollywood announced the Dolly Parton Experience in March 2023, and construction has been ongoing ever since.

The Dolly Parton Experience is bigger than just one attraction — it’s an entire area encompassing multiple buildings. It replaces and expands upon the former Chasing Rainbows Museum (pictured above) in the theme park’s former Adventures in Imagination section, which opened in 2002.

The Dolly Parton Experience will be comprised of three distinct experiences — Songteller, Behind the Seams and Precious Memories — each crafted to share Dolly’s incredible journey.

The Songteller experience will feature a “walk-through journey of exhibits spanning Dolly’s life and iconic career.”

This will include the “inspiration for and results of her biggest dreams.”

The immersive and interactive exhibits will give guests a unique look into Dolly’s life.

The “Behind the Seams” exhibit will feature a “curated selection of Dolly’s signature style through the years.”

Behind the Seams will also offer guests a behind-the-scenes look at Dolly’s creative process.

Dolly’s family and friends will continue to perform in the nearby DreamSong theater, the queue for which will also feature a new exhibit for guests to enjoy as they await for the theater to open:

The original Chasing Rainbows exhibit featured a slew of Dolly Parton artifacts and memorabilia, almost all of which will surely return in this new experience — which will be three times the size of Chasing Rainbows.
