Adventureland Announces Roller Coaster and Flume Ride for 2023

Adventure Island in Iowa announced today the theme park will open two new rides in 2023 — an intertwined roller coaster and a water flume ride.

Both of Adventureland’s new-for-2023 rides are products of Zamperla (Antonio Zamperla Group).

Flying Viking

Flying Viking is a family Zamperla coaster that will reach a top speed of 26 mph along its 1,200-foot-long course.

Draken Falls

On the Draken Falls flume ride, guests will board Viking-themed ships and speed through rapids and down two drops.

The intertwined family rides will be built around various Viking-influenced theming.
