DelGrosso’s Amusement Park Cancels 2020 Season

Last week, DelGrossos’s Amusement Park announced that the park was canceling its 2020 season due to the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak. The Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania amusement park’s parent company (DelGrossos Family of Companies).

The announcement elaborated on the factors contributed to the decision, with the most significant being the safety of employees and guests. Others included the uncertainty of when the park would be allowed to open (as part of the state’s phased reopening) as well as other hurtles the park would need to overcome:

The uncertainty of when large attractions such as DelGrossos’s Park would actually be permitted to open also played a significant role. This delay would only be compounded by social distancing protocols, capacity restrictions and supply chain interruptions. All of these obstacles would make creating a fun, safe and memorable guest experience, like we have done for decades, very difficult.

The park’s website addresses guests who had already purchased season passes and upgrades for the 2020 season:

  • Season Passes (and the accompanying BOGO food vouchers) will be honored for the 2021 season. To show the park’s gratitude for these loyal customers, $25 worth of food credits will be added to each passholder’s card. Those who don’t want to defer their season pass to 2021 should visit the park’s website for details.
  • All Day Fun Passes purchased for the 2020 season will be honored during the 2021 season.
  • Refillable cup purchases will be exchanged at the park once the new sale begins in November.
  • The park will contact guests who had reserved waterpark cabanas and picnic pavilions.

DelGrosso’s gift cards have no expiration date and therefore will be honored in 2021.

Due to the state’s phased reopening, the park is operating with a limited number of staff members in the office. If you have questions, email the park at [email protected].

If you live near the park and need your DelGrossos’s food fix, the park is offering DelGrosso Dinners To Go (DG2GO) that you can order from the park’s website.
