According to a release, the new attraction will combine a state-of-the-art ride system and a custom film featuring some of the nation’s most beautiful natural wonders and iconic landmarks. Riders will get to experience the movements, sounds, scents, and mists of an adventure across the nation. The flying theater will be located adjacent to the Great Smoky Mountain Wheel, a 200-foot observation wheel, and The Island’s multi-million dollar show fountain.

“I am really pleased to announce that we are moving forward with our first co-venture partnership in the sixth most popular amusement park in the USA” said Guy Nelson, Chief Executive Officer, Dynamic Attractions.

The attraction itself will be manufactured by Dynamic Attractions, but is actually the first project for Dynamic’s new sister company, Dynamic Entertainment.

“The idea behind Dynamic Entertainment is to put the world’s most sophisticated media based attractions, that are currently only found in top theme parks, into major tourist destinations,” said John Kageorge, spokesman for Dynamic Attractions. “In other words, more people can get these great experiences by traveling to a tourist hot spot close to them!”

The Island’s President, Bob McManus, is excited for the new Flying Theater.

“This flying theater will truly be a one-of-a-kind, immersive entertainment experience,” he said. “From The Island, guests will be transported to places that they otherwise may never have the opportunity to see, and experience the beauty of America in a unique and unforgettable way.”
