“Ride the hill… Feel the thrill” on the new Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster! This is the first ride of its type in the southern states. Opened last summer in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, this unique coaster takes riders on over a mile journey through the woods at speeds up to 27 mph.
After a nearly five minute ride up the lift, riders can control their speed on the way down the mountain. The course features two 360 degree and two 180 degree turnarounds.
While 27 mph doesn’t seem too thrilling, the video of this ride and riders reactions so far says otherwise. There are rave reviews coming in for this attraction. If you are ever in the area, definitely check out this new coaster! It’s open year-round and located just off the main strip of Pigeon Forge, minutes from Dollywood.
