An awesome promotional ploy by Thorpe Park is working. Many news organizations have gotten the news that the test dummies on the un-open coaster came back without arms and legs. The rumor is of course meant to scare potential riders and make them want to ride the ride, which is the first of its kind in England. The “test dummies” were actually store mannequins, and not real crash test dummies. The park is also known for asking guests to donate urine for their Saw ride, stating that it was going to create a stench for the maze.
