Unveiled yesterday, the proposed Libertyland USA theme park would anchor a sprawling resort in South Dakota alongside a retail/dining center, special event facility, resort hotel, RV campground and resort as well as a residential village.
Storyland Studios, an experiential design firm with an extensive background in theme park design, released artist renderings and details about the Libertyland USA theme park and the destination’s other attractions.
The entire development is slated to open in 2026.

The theme park and surrounding attractions would be built in the Black Hills of South Dakota, not far from Rapid City. Storyland Studios describes the area as “rich in heritage, story and natural resources our nation is proud to share.”
Natural beauty paired with man-made wonder make this region a must-see for American and International visitors to experience alike.
The theme park is described as an “interactive living history attraction.”

The Libertyland USA theme park would be the centerpiece of the destination. To the north would be the Black Hills Village residential district. To the southeast of the park would be the retail/dining lifestyle center. The RV resort and campgrounds would be situated farther to the east.
The lifestyle center would include retail, dining and entertainment offerings. The nearby special events center would feature an “arena dinner show and chuckwagon dinner offering” coupled with an expandable outdoor theater.
The 300-room western-themed resort would feature an indoor water park and conference center.
The RV resort and campground would feature 200 spaces for RVs along with a traditional campground. The resort would also contain a general store, restaurant and recreation center in addition to an offering of outdoor activities.
Finally, the Black Hills Village residential district would offer a variety of single-family and multifamily residences.
