They were the words coaster enthusiasts have been waiting years to hear: “It’s true, will open at noon today.”
Today, October 5, 2013, Knoebels officially opened Flying Turns after seven years of construction and delays. It was originally due to open in 2006.
The clip below is short, but seeing actual people fill the trains is quite spectacular:
The coaster stands 50 feet tall and includes 1,300 feet of track. Trains reach a maximum speed of 24 mph.
