Knott’s Berry Farm announced the addition of three rides for next season, including a new family roller coaster.  The two brand new rides and one former ride will open in summer 2013 in the location where Perilous Plunge previously ran until it closed earlier this year. The area will further enhance the feeling of strolling down a colorful California Boardwalk fun zone filled with amusements, games, and fun food offerings. Descriptions of each ride are:

Coaster Rider: A family, boardwalk-style, wild mouse coaster will include 1,339 feet of track, including a 52-foot ascent and hairpin twists and turns.

Surfside Glider: Visitors will pilot two-person gliders from 28-feet high, giving a bird’s eye view of the Boardwalk Bay.

Pacific Scrambler: The traditional boardwalk ride is coming out of storage to resume operation in a new place in the park. Knott’s crews took out the Scrambler to make space for Pony Express, which opened in 2008.
