Alaska Presley, a woman who was involved with the opening of Ghost Town in the Sky over 50 years ago, plans to reopen at least a portion of the North Carolina park by this summer, according to this news source. After closing in 2009, Ghost Town in the Sky has remained shuttered, but Presley has reportedly purchased the park’s bank notes and assets. It will be great to see this park reopen once again, especially for the Maggie Valley area where the park is situated.
