Fun Spot America Atlanta Closing, ArieForce One Future Uncertain
Fun Spot America Atlanta today announced that the park will close in August 2026. The park’s last operating day will be Sunday, August 2, 2026.
The small Atlanta-area park is most known in the coaster enthusiast community as being home to ArieForce One a Rocky Mountain Construction (RMC) coaster that opened in 2023 and put the small park in the spotlight. As of this posting, its future remains uncertain.
Fun Spot America Atlanta’s History
Fun Spot America Atlanta originally opened as Dixieland Fun Park, a family entertainment center that opened south of Atlanta in Fayetteville, GA, in 1990. For many years, the park offered go-karts, mini golf, arcade games and a small collection of family rides, becoming a popular local destination.
In 2017, Florida-based Fun Spot America acquired the property and rebranded it as Fun Spot America Atlanta, marking the company’s first expansion outside of Florida. The Arie family invested heavily in the park over the following years, adding new attractions and positioning it as a regional amusement destination.
In 2023, the park debuted ArieForce One, a 154-foot-tall RMC coaster that drew enthusiasts from around the world and instantly elevated the park’s profile within the amusement industry.
The park was also home to two other coasters — Hurricane Coaster and Sea Serpent, both E&F Miler-manufactured coasters.
“This was an extremely difficult decision,” said John Arie Jr., Chief Executive Officer of Fun Spot America. “Our Atlanta team has poured their hearts into serving our guests and creating a place where families could have fun together. We are deeply grateful for their dedication and for the support we have received from the Fayetteville community.”
