Six Flags Fiesta Texas Teases 2027 Addition with Phone Number – We Called It!

Earlier today, Six Flags Fiesta Texas posted a image of an in-park teaser on social media that seems to hint at the park’s 2027 plans.

An updated sign near Six Flags Fiesta Texas’ Crackaxle Canyon area notes that a “roadside attraction” is “coming soon,” following the sign’s first appearance in the park earlier this year.

A Sign Popped Up in Crackaxle Canyon Earlier this Season

There are two new additions covering up much of the original details on the sign – the roadside attraction banner, and two sets of large claw marks.

However, we were most interested in the phone number in the bottom left hand corner that encourages park guests to “holler at us to learn more.” (We apparently missed a first message from the original sign.)

Being the intrepid pseudo-journalists that we are, we did just that – and were met with a recording at the other end from “Jasper Bunyan” – we’ve included a transcription below.

Howdy there, the name’s Jasper Bunyan. Reckon I beat y’all to the punch ’cause I just snapped up a whole stretch of land outside of Crackaxle Canyon, every dusty inch of it. [laughs] Now, you don’t fret none. Big things are brewing. I’m building a brand-new roadside attraction across from the best barbecue joint in town, Old Blue’s Barbecue. Mm, mm, mm. [laughs] Now, you know that kind of place that folk be hitting the brakes so hard you can smell the rubber. The quarry views, oddities, and a few of my, well, rare collections finally seeing the daylight again. Some of them have been locked away since the old mining days. Others, well, uh, they tend to wander. Anyways, [laughs] if you heard the whispers of twenty twenty-seven, well, let’s just say the ground out here has been rumbling in ways it hasn’t since the quarry shut down. Maybe it’s the wind sneaking through the cracks, but maybe it ain’t. Now, what I can promise is an experience folks won’t forget, even if they try. And once it’s ready, the only thing louder than the tall tales will be the scree– uh, I, I mean cheers. [laughs] Now, if you’re looking to be a part of something bigger than a Texas sunset, give old Jasper a ring back. Otherwise, I’ll see you when the dust settles. Until then, keep your eyes peeled. Uh, things out here like to stare back.

We’re going to to decipher what we think are some key words in Jasper’s message.

The Location:

  • “I just snapped up a whole stretch of land outside of Crackaxle Canyon, every dusty inch of it.”
  • I’m building a brand-new roadside attraction across from the best barbecue joint in town, Old Blue’s Barbecue.”

If nothing else, we know the primary location for this new attraction – and it’s across from Old Blue’s Barbecue at Six Flags Fiesta Texas. Fortunately, there is some space in that area of the park, because in late 2025, Six Flags Fiesta Texas removed both “The Big Bender” and “Whirlpool” slides from its in park Hurricane Harbor water park (located conveniently just outside of Crackaxle Canyon) in favor of future expansion.

This opens up a nice space for a new attraction. (We’re not suggesting that the entire yellow area is for the new attraction, just a look at the potential space!)

The Attraction:

  • “…ground out here has been rumbling”
  • “…if you’re looking to be a part of something bigger than a Texas sunset
  • “…kind of place that folk be hitting the brakes so hard you can smell the rubber”

Few things make the ground of a theme park shake quite like a roller coaster. Rumors are swirling that this space could be home to Six Flags Fiesta Texas’ 12th roller coaster, and first major addition since Dr. Diabolical’s Cliffhanger in 2022. (I’m not counting Kid Flash, and I’m not apologizing.) And if we’re looking at a scale – they say “everything is bigger in Texas,” and if that includes the sunsets, this could be a pretty sizable attraction!

And while Jasper’s quote is in reverse of how one would typically think about “burning rubber,” what if speed plays a factor into this new attraction? Could we be seeing Six Flags Fiesta Texas’ next launch coaster come to this space?

The Theme

  • “Others, well, uh, they tend to wander.”
  • “Maybe it’s the wind sneaking through the cracks, but maybe it ain’t.”
  • “…keep your eyes peeled. Uh, things out here like to stare back.”

When looking at the sign here, it’s clear that something with claws is going to be involved in the overall theme. And I think that theme/name will involve a Coyote, and here’s why we think that makes sense and ties together.

  1. Coyotes are native to Texas, including San Antonio – and recently Six Flags Fiesta Texas (and the chain at large) has put an emphasis on theming and storytelling – including the renaming of Goliath to “Chupacabra.” The park could embrace its Texas roots even more with this attraction – especially located across from a barbecue restaurant.
  2. Coyotes are known for extensive wandering to find their new territory.
  3. When listening to the wind howl through the cracks in the canyon, that could be mistaken for the howl of a coyote.
  4. Coyotes also are known to stare at humans and other animals to assess their surroundings.

And also: It’s located right next to the Road Runner coaster, and we have a twisted sense of humor.

Guess we’ll have to wait and see if the voice at the end of the phone number is updated throughout the season. Be sure to follow Six Flags Fiesta Texas for the latest news and updates: Facebook | Twitter | Instagram
