Updated List of 2026 Opening Dates for Amusement and Theme Parks

Amusement and theme park opening dates for the 2026 season are trickling in, reminding us that our next coaster ride is not that far away. To stave off the winter blues, we’re compiling a running list of amusement and theme park opening dates to make your trip planning easier.

Disclaimer: while we make every effort to keep this list updated and accurate, you should check the park’s official website and social media channels before finalizing your plans. These dates are subject to change.

We’ve divided our list into two groups — parks that are open year-round or have posted their 2026 opening dates. That list is followed by the parks that have not yet announced opening dates for their 2026 season. We’ll be updating the list regularly, so check back often.

Park Opening Dates Not Announced:

Below are parks that have announced their 2026 season opening dates with their respective 2026 operating calendars and hours of operation, if available. Again, these dates are tentative and subject to change.

  • Six Flags America permanently closed on November 2, 2025.

  • ZDT’s Amusement Park permanently closed on August 17, 2025.

    Great list!
    When do you expect the opening dates for SixFlags / CedarFair Parks?
    Before new year, or later?
    As example: Kings Dominion, Island, Carowinds, SFOG, etc.
    I’m planing a trip in late may and last year all of them opened around late may +-…

    • Hi Marco, in the past Six Flags opening date announcements have been staggered. My guess is that those announcements will begin early next year. Stay tuned to this list!
