“Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift” Testing Launches at Universal Studios Hollywood
Universal Studios Hollywood shared that they’ve started extended testing of their new roller coaster coming in 2026, “Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift.”

The park is keeping most the train cars for the new ride hidden during this “first launch” testing, with plans to reveal them at a later date. The four vehicles in each train are themed to the cars of the Fast & Furious Films, including Vin Diesel’s Dodge Charger.

Fast & Furious Hollywood Drift is going to the be the park’s first ever high speed outdoor coaster, joining the family friendly Flight of the Hippogriff and indoor Revenge of the Mummy in the coaster lineup. 360-degree rotating vehicles will speed along a 4,100 foot track from the Upper Lot. The intent of the design it to give you the feeling of a drifting car as the vehicles race over sections of the theme park, including over the escalators connecting the Upper and Lower lots.

No specific release date has been announced yet, but we know it’s coming in 2026. With Universal Studios already testing launches, we’re hoping for early 2026!
