New Wildcat’s Revenge Construction Photos and On-Ride POV Animation

To tide fans over until Wildcat’s Revenge opens this summer, Hersheypark has shared an on-ride POV animation of its new-for-2o23 Rocky Mountain Construction (RMC) hybrid coaster as well as construction photos and the coaster’s custom-designed trains.

Wildcat’s Revenge will be supported by portions of the former Wildcat structure — the all-wood Great Coasters International (GCI) coaster, which closed in July 2022:

Hersheypark announced Wildcat’s Revenge in November and shared renderings of the coaster as well as a few snippets of the on-ride POV. Now, we can finally experience the coaster virtually from start to finish.

Wildcat’s Revenge Construction Photos

Wildcat’s Revenge will stretch 3,510 feet in length and will stand 140 feet tall with an 82-degree first drop, reaching a top speed of 62 mph.

The coaster will pack four inversions, one of which is being dubbed as the world’s largest “underflip” as pictured below:

The inversion begins with an upward climb followed by a 270-degree counterclockwise roll and then a dive toward the side.

Much of the element is shrouded behind the wooden and steel supports.

Wildcat’s Revenge will be Hersheypark’s 15th roller coaster.

Wildcat’s Revenge Custom Train Design

Hersheypark also sent photos of one of Wildcat’s Revenge’s custom-designed trains that was showcased at the IAAPA Expo last November:

Wildcat’s Revenge will be Hersheypark’s first coaster to feature custom trains.

The attention to detail is impressive, to say the least.

The three trains will each seat 24 riders.

Wildcat’s Revenge is expected to open in the summer of 2023. To learn more about the coaster, visit the Hersheypark website.
