First revealed in 2014, Ferrari World this week announced that the long anticipated Mission Ferrari roller coaster will finally open on January 12, 2023.
Dubbed by Ferrari World as the “world’s most immersive mega coaster,” Mission Ferrari is a SFX Coaster manufactured by Dynamic Attractions.

The indoor/outdoor coaster will feature several “firsts,” including the world’s first sideways drop, tilting mechanisms and the first 5D coaster featuring two 3D movie screens. Qiguang Group, a Chinese firm, fabricated the track.

Mission Ferrari will also feature five linear synchronous motor (LSM) launches up to nearly 45 mph, a drop track and a tilt track.

On the Dynamic Attractions website, the SFX Coaster models are said to also feature different types of switch tracks (tilt and drop, vertical track drop, side slide, tumble table, rotary table, lateral track switch or barrel track switch), onboard audio and special effects, and an Energy Management System (EMS) for the LSMs to reduces facility impact.
