Gamers and coaster enthusiasts who were looking forward to playing the newest theme park management game are going to have to wait a little while longer – the Park Beyond release date has been delayed. This unique new approach to the amusement park builder style game made its debut as part of Gamescom Opening Night Live 2021 with a slated release date for 2022. However, today it was announced the game will release on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S next year, in 2023.
Park Beyond Release Date Now 2023
The official Park Beyond website describes the game as:
“In PARK BEYOND players can create the park of their dreams, without being held back by gravity! As the newly-hired visionary architect for a struggling company, players will be able to create mind-twisting theme parks. Players can create rides they have always dreamt about but that couldn’t exist in real life. Along with Phil, the enthusiastic park veteran and Izzy, the stern but friendly executive and a host of other colorful and passionate characters, players will pave the way to a successful and profitable park company. Thanks to accessible controls and a story-driven campaign mode, players will get to learn the ropes of park management and build increasingly crazy rides and modular coasters. Success depends on your creativity!”
Instead of going for realism, like in the popular RollerCoaster Tycoon series or the ultra realistic NoLimists 2, Park Beyond instead is going a different direction and leaning into the realm of fantasy. Players will be encouraged to break the laws of physics and build rides that would be impossible in the real world.
Park Beyond Trailer
While the Park Beyond release date was delayed, a new trailer was dropped today that debuted as part of Gamescom’s Opening Night Live. Check it out below to see all the zany action and to get a glimpse of the ride-builder tool style:
Park Beyond seems like it was inspired by all those YouTube thumbnails where the track is photoshopped out of the picture so it looks like the train jumps the tracks. We can’t wait to see what kind of crazy creations players come up with!
Are you excited for Park Beyond? Do you think you’ll like it more or less than RollerCoaster Tycoon? Let us know in the comments below!
Hi, I am a real big fan of roller coaster tycoons games, in fact, crazy about them I may not be the best computer nerd around but I love to create theme parks and rides. That new coaster game looks good and look forward to seeing it. Yes, I’d love to be able to create something very different from the norm. I do find I lack knowledge in computers which can hold me back at times, but when playing these coaster games they have helped me manage and work with computers better. If it were not for computer games I probably would not know how to use one. This is why I like, keep playing them and would love to be able to do just about anything with computers. Sometimes these games can be frustrating when trying to create something cool and think when looking back at the process of building something it feels like an achievement this is what I get from computer coaster games. thank you.
Park Beyond isn’t trying to be realistic like the popular RollerCoaster Tycoon series or the very realistic NoLimits 2. Instead, it’s going in a different direction and leaning toward fantasy, like the popular RollerCoaster Tycoon series or the very realistic NoLimits 2. The game will encourage players to break the laws of physics and make rides that couldn’t exist in the real world.
