Chessington World of Adventures in the UK today announced plans for a new land and roller coaster themed after the iconic Jumanji film franchise. It will be the first theme park land to feature the Jumanji theme.
Specifics about the new land and coaster are relatively sparse, but the immersive land will feature the iconic “Jaguar Shrine” structure featured in the most recent Jumanji film, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. Additional “wild rides” were alluded to in this news article.
The concept art shows the Jaguar Shrine statue encircled by coaster track that appears very similar to Bolliger & Mabillard’s (B&M).
Site plans uncovered last year include detailed plans for the area and the coaster itself. While unconfirmed, the Jumanji coaster is believed to be a family-friendly launched B&M wing coaster featuring a forward-and-backward shuttle layout with two spikes:

The park has created a special section of its website to promote World of Jumanji, but as of this posting, no additional information about the land or coaster is available on the page.
