Knott’s Boysenberry Festival is Back March 18 to April 24

The annual Knott’s Boysenberry Festival is back this year, with a fully opened theme park, and for an even longer run. This years festival, one the biggest food festivals in the theme park world, will operate daily from March 18 to April 24, more than a month of Boysenberry goodness. Last year the Boysenberry Festival existed only in a modified form because of the park’s Covid restrictions, only operating on select weekends with no rides. It’s great to see it fully back!

The festival introduces all new food offerings with more than two dozen food and drink items. The long list of new items includes a chicken cordon bleu with boysenberry cheese sauce, crab sushi rolls with boysenberry aioli, a boysenberry filled donut open faced chicken sandwich, and boysenberry pie bars. On the drink side you’ll find things like boysenberry horchata, boysenberry seltzer, and alcoholic drinks like prosecco with hibiscus and boysenberry.

Along with all the food and drink, the Boysenberry festival always includes lots of entertainment, and boysenberry inspired merch and crafts. Some of the shows are Snoopy’s Boysenberry Jamboree, an all-new comedy melodrama called Riverboat Revenge, and my favorite, the Boysenberry pie eating contest.

The festival is included with admission, but tasting cards for food will go for $50 ($45 for passholders). Those include six tastings from the list of 25 dishes and drinks. Plenty of items will also be available a la carte. For more info on all of the food and entertainment, check out the Knott’s Boysenberry Festival webpage.
