WinterFest Begins at Canada’s Wonderland and Carowinds on November 13

In what can best be described on a war against Thanksgiving (this is a joke!), several Cedar Fair are getting into the holiday spirit very early with the return of WinterFest, beginning at Canada’s Wonderland and Carowinds on Saturday, November 13! So, as these two parks haul out the holly, because they need a little Christmas, right this very minute, what can we expect?

Canada’s Wonderland

Canada’s Wonderland will be all decked out for the holidays beginning Nov. 13 for the return of WinterFest. Running select dates until Dec. 31, this magical outdoor event is bigger than ever with the expansion of the North Pole themed area featuring more live entertainment, holiday lights, décor, an ice wine bar, family rides and a stunning new LED tunnel called “Northern Starlight.”

“This has been an unforgettable year and we’re so pleased we could bring safe fun and amazing experiences back into people’s lives,” said Norm Pirtovshek, general manager. “With the return of WinterFest, guests can continue to enjoy time with friends and family safely, while making new memories at this beautiful outdoor holiday event.”

At Canada’s Wonderland, the event features millions of holiday lights, enchanting, themed areas, festive food, an artisan Christmas market and more than 40 attractions. For a full list of Canada’s Wonderland operating attractions, Click Here!

Canada’s Wonderland will be implementing a mandatory vaccination policy for guests at WinterFest. All guests 12 years and older will be required to present proof of full COVID-19 vaccination (plus government-issued ID) for admission into the park, beginning Nov. 13. Reservations for WinterFest at Canada’s Wonderland will also be required.

Carowinds

WinterFest is back for 2021 at Carowinds, and due to guests’ excitement, they’re beginning the holiday fun a weekend early.

Like Canada’s Wonderland, Carowinds will open for the WinterFest opening weekend on November 13. Guests will be able to take in the park’s impressive display of millions of shimmering lights and extravagant decor that transforms the park into a winter wonderland. Select rides, activities and shows will also be available for guest enjoyment. Bring the whole family to squeeze in some extra holiday magic this season!

Full WinterFest operation begins at Carowinds on November 19, and the nightly WinterFest Wonderland Parade starts Monday, November 22. For a list of opening weekend WinterFest attractions and activities at Carowinds, click here!
