Admission provides unlimited access to the following attractions:
ZOMBIEzi Bay Haunted Houses
The haunts of ZOMBIEzi Bay are being provided by Boneyard Productions International. Located in Massachusetts, Boneyard Productions has more than 25 years of experience in creating haunted house and escape rooms, all of which are designed for the ultimate scare.
Catacombs, presented by Mtn Dew
Welcome to the Catacombs! Visit the realm of the undead and the corpse-laden corridors of those who came before you. The spirits have awakened, and they are hungry. Will you be their next meal? Or, will they summon you to join them in their eternal party?
Eternal Darkness, presented by Mtn Dew
Are you afraid of the dark? You will be after an encounter with the Eternal Darkness—if you make it out alive, that is. The netherworld has come to life in this near pitch-black experience. Can you find your way out before it is too late?
Pleasant Screams, presented by Versiti Blood Center of Ohio
Enter the mysterious research facility known as Pleasant Dreams Laboratory, a world-famous sleep study facility…or is it? For years, locals have whispered that something else occurs at this foreboding site. Genetic testing? Mind manipulation? Take a tour of the Laboratory and come face-to-face with your worst nightmares.
Step right up and enter the Sinister Sideshow! Don your 3D glasses and check out the sideshow. It is fun for all ages, and they are looking for new victims! Evil clowns and blood-curdling acts all under the Big Top…what could go wrong?
ZOMBIEzi Bay Scare Zones
While visiting ZOMBIEzi Bay, guests should expect to be scared not only inside the haunted houses, but also while roaming the park pathways in two different scare zones:
Photosynthesis, presented by Mtn Dew
Did you know that when plants die, they don’t really die? In Photosynthesis, Mother Nature is hungry and out for revenge. Will you escape or be the next meal? They didn’t teach us this in science class.
Life as we know it has ended and zombies now rule the world. Can you escape the horde, or will you become one of the undead?
Rides Open for ZOMBIEzi Bay
ZOMBIEzi Bay will have a feature that no other haunted event in Central Ohio has—amusement rides! Normally a part of the Adventure Cove region at the Columbus Zoo, six pulse-pounding amusement rides will be included with ZOMBIEzi Bay admission:
- Sea Dragon classic wooden roller coaster
- Falcon Fall, a 50-foot drop tower

When your time is up, an alert is sent to your mobile device. A Platinum Doompass allows you to enjoy ZOMBIEzi Bay while avoiding the long haunted house lines. With a Platinum Doompass, you enjoy a 50% reduction in wait time, but not in line – you can enjoy your free time elsewhere in the park. Platinum Doompass holders can experience each of the 4 haunted houses one time. With a Diamond Doompass, you enjoy a 90% reduction in wait time and can experience each of the 4 haunted houses an unlimited amount. Diamond Doompass quantities are strictly limited and will sell out quickly. Platinum Doompass is $34.99 + tax and Diamond Doompass is $64.99 + tax.
ZOMBIEzi Bay Park Map
“We are extremely excited to kick off the inaugural season of ZOMBIEzi Bay. This event has been years in the making, and we are proud to see the finished product come together. It is always our goal to discover new ways to connect with our guests and offer our community different experiences. In addition to Boo at the Zoo, which is geared more toward families, ZOMBIEzi Bay is designed to offer teens and adults a fun, safe place to experience the thrills of Halloween—if they so dare!” said Anthony Sabo, Vice President of Waterpark Operations and Guest Services at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium and Zoombezi Bay.
Tidal Twist, the new Zamperla spinning coaster that opened earlier this summer, is not included in admission to ZOMBIEzi Bay. From our understanding, the coaster will be open during regular zoo hours and will require the usual additional ride ticket. The Columbus Zoo will still be having their separate family friendly Boo at Zoo event from October 1-3, 8-10, 15-17, 22-24, and 29-31, included with admission to the zoo.
