Six Flags Fiesta Texas Begins Teasing for 2022

Earlier today, Six Flags Fiesta Texas began teasing for a new attraction, scheduled to open in 2022. But what is it going to be? We have no idea.

During the park’s “Roller Coaster Rodeo” event, Six Flags Fiesta Texas went live on Facebook, as the guests in attendance were treated to a quick “parade” of sorts, featuring Steampunk-esque characters (reminded me of Halloween scare actors) holding a balloon, emblazoned with “2022” on it.

This comes on the heels of several tweets from Six Flags Fiesta Texas Park President Jeffrey Siebert, along the lines of “So it begins.”

Today, a banner was unveiled behind those green tarps, with a date matching the balloon, as well as the tagline “The Gates of fear will open”

The sign itself features a steampunk motif, and also a phone number for guests to call for more information: 1-833-SEES-YOU (1-833-733-7968). When calling that number guests are treated to the following message.

Why hello, it’s nice to hear from you again my frightened friend. I can feel you trembling through the phone. It’s clear that the unknown terror that is about to reign down upon the world is driving you mad. But don’t fret. The time is near. Fear is inching its way closer and closer soon. Evil will replace good and the horrific vision I have for the human race will become a reality. Prepare now for the wickedness that will soon be coming. Call back soon if you dare. I know you will. It’s certainly an interesting start to the teaser. Any ideas what it could be?

Dare Devil Dive Flying Machines, a Zamperla Mega Air Race (also featuring a bit of a Steampunk theme) is Six Flags Fiesta Texas’ newest attraction and opened at the park earlier this year in the “Screampunk District” of Crackaxle Canyon.

Could it be a new roller coaster? The park’s last new coaster was Wonder Woman Golden Lasso in 2018. Could it be an over-the-top expansion to the park’s Halloween Event? A churro stand? It might be too early to tell.

Update 6/14: According to Lance Hart of Screamscape, the Sundance Theater at Six Flags Fiesta Texas will be removed to make way for this project. The plot thickens!

Guess we’ll have to wait and see as the teases evolve.
