The Ohio State University’s Theme Park Engineering Group is hosting a virtual edition of Students in Themed Entertainment (SITE) conference. Dubbed SITE LITE, the event will have a slightly different scope than their previous in-person conferences, but the focus will still be networking among young professionals. The event promises to “be centered around growing invaluable connections with other peers in the industry. To accommodate this, participants can expect a series of guided & interactive themed break out room experiences.”
This will be the third iteration of the conference, but the first virtual one. We had the opportunity to attend the first year in 2019 and in 2020 as well, and had a blast each time.
SITE LITE is free to attend and will be held on Saturday, March 27th, 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM EST on Zoom.
Who can attend SITE LITE? This year, the conference is open to:
- High school seniors
- Students currently enrolled in a higher education university
- Recent University Graduate within the last three years
- Open to all majors; not limited to just engineers
This event will be a great networking opportunity for students. If you’re at all interested in a career in the amusement industry, I highly recommend you take the time to attend this event.
