Cruis’n the Park Car Show Coming to Six Flags Magic Mountain

As California theme parks remain closed, they keep finding new ways to bring in guests. This time Six Flags Magic Mountain is pairing up West Coast Customs — the famous car shop probably best known as the shop in Pimp My Ride — for a drive thru car show in the park.

If you’ve ever wanted to drive through Six Flags Magic Mountain and look at cars, now’s your chance! This is probably the only chance you’ll ever get, too.

100 automotive displays from muscle cards to low riders will be paired with themed music and entertainment throughout the park. The show will be broken into different sections throughout the park. The 30 minute long drive along the midways includes narration from Ryan Friedlinghaus, CEO of West Coast Customs.

Cruis’n The Park at night!

“It’s the first ever drive-thru car show in a theme park where LA’s top vehicles from all different categories, mini trucks to low riders and everything in between, will be displayed,” Friedlinghaus said. “This event will take you on a trip down memory lane and also make new memories for families to share together.”

Magic Mountain Park President, Don McCoy, added, “We’re thrilled to host this event with West Coast Customs. We know that people are searching for fun and safe activities to do with their families. This is a really innovative concept that is sure to offer a fun experience for car lovers of all ages”.

Six Flags Magic Mountain and West Coast Customs paired up for West Coast Racers last year.

If you can remember all the way back to 2019, you’ll know that Magic Mountain partnered with West Coast Customs on the theming for their new West Coast Racers dueling roller coaster. The coaster was sadly only open a couple of months before the pandemic hit, so it’s kind of fun to see them continuing their partnership. Also nice to see another park finding new ways to entertain guests in Southern California after their successful drive thru holiday event, and with both Knott’s Berry Farm recently announcing this years Boysenberry Festival and Disney California Adventure adding a food event.

The Cruis’n the Park Car Show runs Friday, Saturday, and Sundays from Feb 26 to March 14. Limited reservations are available each day, and tickets must be bought ahead. Check out the Six Flags Magic Mountain website to get tickets, and for all the restrictions (no bringing a bus to the park).
