Coaster101 Photo Contest 2020: Vote

It’s time to vote for your favorite coaster photos in the 2020 Coaster101 Photography Contest! We received a large number of entries this year and, unfortunately, we were unable to include all entries in the voting round. If your photo was not included, we encourage you to enter again next year.

The voting period will run through Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. CST. We’ll announce the winners shortly thereafter. Read below for rules and winner information.

Update: see this year’s winners here!

How to Vote

Both categories will have dedicated photo albums on our Facebook page with all of the category’s entries (those galleries are also embedded below). Each Facebook “like” that a photo receives will count as one vote. You must have a Facebook account to vote on Facebook. You may vote once per category.

Winning Photos

Each category will have two winners: a Reader’s Choice (the photo that receives the most number of “likes”) and a Coaster101’s Choice (selected by the Coaster101 writers).

Winners will receive a Coaster101 prize pack including prizes from parks across the country as well as a print of their winning photo.

Happy voting!

Steel Coaster Category

Photos in this category should contain at least one steel coaster. They must not be noticeably altered. Minor retouching is acceptable, as are black-and-white photos. If a photo contains a steel and wooden coaster, the steel coaster must be the focal point.

See the steel coaster category photos on our Facebook page and in the gallery below.

Wooden Coaster Category

Photos should contain at least one wooden coaster. They must not be noticeably altered. Minor retouching is acceptable, as are black-and-white photos. If a photo contains a steel and wooden coaster, the wooden coaster must be the focal point.
