April 7 is National Beer Day, but it might be time for a new Holiday!
We started with 68 parks from across the globe. After more than 50,000 total votes cast, we’ve narrowed it down to one. We are proud to announce the winner of 2020’s edition of Park Mania: Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari!
The Santa Claus, Indiana park, formerly known as Santa Claus Land, opened for the first time in 1946. Since then, the family-owned Holiday World has grown into a 125-acre park celebrating not just Christmas, but Thanksgiving, 4th of July, and Halloween as well. Known for their free parking, soft drinks and sunscreen, along with their major roller coaster lineup of Legend, Raven, Voyage and Thunderbird, Holiday World’s in-park water park, Splashin’ Safari is known as the “Water Coaster Capital of the World.” The water park feature two award-winning water coasters, Mammoth and Wildebeest, with a third, Cheetah Chase, on the way later this year.
Holiday World, a 4-seed in this year’s Central Region, defeated 13-seed Nickelodeon Universe, 5-seed Canada’s Wonderland, 1-seed, and 2018 Park Mania Champion Kings Island, and 2-seed Cedar Point to reach the semi-finals. After knocking off 1-seed in the west region Knott’s Berry Farm, Holiday World took down 2019 Park Mania Champion, and #1 overall seed Hersheypark in the finals.

Our employees have especially enjoyed sharing and voting, and it’s been a great way for us to stay united as we work from so far apart. Holiday World joins past Park Mania/Madness Champions, Silverwood – 2017, Kings Island – 2018, and 2019 Champion, Hersheypark.
