Monster Jam Thunder Alley Coming to Carowinds in 2020

Boogie Board Racer and Grand Carnivale aren’t the only new experiences coming to Carowinds in 2020! On SATURDAY! SATURDAY! SATURDAY! March 21, Monster Jam Thunder Alley,  a full-throttle immersion into the incredible world of Monster Jam, will “rev its engines” and come to the park.

Park guests will have the opportunity to get “nose-to-grill,” sit inside and even take an adrenaline-charged ride in their favorite truck at this limited-time experience, which happens at Carowinds on park operating days from March 21 to April 19, 2020.

“We’re offering variety like never before this year and the excitement of Monster Jam Thunder Alley rounds out our spring season perfectly,” said Lisa Stryker, Communications Director for Carowinds. “Our guests are going to love this unique experience, the only immersive event of its kind in the Carolinas.”

Experience the larger-than-life trucks that compete in Monster Jam and take a stroll through Thunder Alley. Guests will be able to get “up close and personal” with some of Monster Jam’s biggest superstars where each truck’s vivid personality and world-class legacy will be on display in unique and interactive ways.

Guests will be able to interact with and learn how Monster Jam trucks come to life in the Monster Jam Garage experience. Touch, feel and turn real Monster Jam elements that make these mechanical marvels soar! You’ll be able to learn how a 1,500-horsepower engine works, turn enormous 645-pound tires on an axle, see how over-sized shocks absorb punishing landings and crank the gears inside of a real transmission!

There will also be family-friendly play areas where young truck enthusiasts can let their imaginations run wild!

In the Monster Jam Freestyle Ride Truck, guests can even hop in a multi-passenger Monster Jam Freestyle Ride Truck and feel the intense exhilaration of a Freestyle-inspired, action-packed course, witnessing it from the driver’s point of view. Inside the 10-passenger truck, guests will be treated to a thrilling ride on a Freestyle-inspired course. Once on-board,  you’ll feel the roar of real Monster Jam action as your truck tackles the most obstacles of any ride truck track ever built.

A standby line to ride is available free of charge with limited availability, but you may also reserve a time to ride in advance by purchasing a VIP experience.

Monster Jam Thunder Alley is included with park admission at Carowinds!
