Nominate for the Attraction Awards of the 2010s

Our annual Attraction Awards are back — with a twist! With the decade coming to an end — hard to believe, right? — we’re celebrating the best (as well as the most missed) roller coasters and attractions that opened (or closed) from 2010 through 2019.

This year’s Attraction Awards will be somewhat different from past installments. We’re asking you to nominate one roller coaster or attraction for five categories, which are detailed below. We then will compile all of the nominations and will craft a list of 10 roller coasters or attractions for each of the categories based on your nominations as well as our internal rankings.

These are the five categories for the Attraction Awards of the 2010s:

1. Best New Steel Coaster of the 2010s

What do you think is the best steel coaster that opened anytime from 2010 through 2019?

2. Best New Wood Coaster of the 2010s

What do you think is the best wood coaster that opened anytime from 2010 through 2019?

3. Most Missed Coaster of the 2010s

While the 2010s saw the opening of a number of amazing, envelope-pushing roller coasters, we unfortunately lost many. What do you think is the most-missed roller coaster that closed anytime from 2010 through 2019?

4. Best New Attraction of the 2010s

What do you think is the best non-coaster attraction that opened anytime from 2010 through 2019?

5. Most Innovative Attraction of the 2010s

These can be roller coasters or attractions. Which attraction do you think most pushed the boundaries of the amusement industry and helped redefine what we consider to be a top-notch attraction?

If you need a refresher on which roller coasters opened in the 2010s, RCDB’s search tool is a great resource.

Update: The nomination period has ended. Stay tuned as we release the winners later this month!

Nominations will be accepted through Friday, December 6, 2019. We will compile the results and will publish the lists of the ranked top 10s in separate posts throughout December.
