Six Flags Fiesta Texas Announces Dare Devil Dive Flying Machines for 2020

It’s a big day for Six Flags parks, with several parks in the chain announcing record-breaking experiences for 2020. Not to be outdone by other Six Flags properties, Six Flags Fiesta Texas has unveiled a “record-breaker” of their own with Dare Devil Dive Flying Machines, coming to the park next year.

Debuting next summer at Six Flags Fiesta Texas, Dare Devil Dive Flying Machines, the World’s Tallest Zamperla Air Race, guests will experience the thrills and sensations of weightlessness through aerial banks, loops and dives, all while seated in a retro four-seater flying machine.

Sharply turning right side up and upside down, riders will break from formation and maneuver into aerobatic dogfights during the barnstorming journey, as they soar nearly five stories above Crackaxle Canyon.

Dare Devil Dive Flying machines will stand nearly five stories tall and features a “steam punk” theme on both the ride structure and six four-seater aircraft.

According to ride manufacturer Zamperla, the Super Air Race takes riders on an amazing journey which replicates the experiences and sensations of an acrobatic aeroplane flight, with banks, loops, dives and weightlessness. The thriller combines a 6 rpm central ride rotation motion with a motor driven arm rotation that creates an adrenaline pumping combination of acceleration.

The ride hosts 24 riders in six four-seater airplanes and take them up to a height of 14.7 m (48 ft).

Zamperla Air Races are always fun to watch, and we’re sure that the Six Flags Fiesta Texas version will be no different.
