“Ghostbusters” Coming to Halloween Horror Nights!

Universal Studios has steadily been revealing the themes for their 2019 Halloween Horror Nights mazes and areas, and today announced that for the first time ever “Ghostbusters” is coming to the parks.

UNIVERSAL STUDIOS WELCOMES GHOSTBUSTERS FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER TO “HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS” IN ALL-NEW MAZES

The classic film (one of my personal favorites) is celebrating its 35th birthday this year, and the new mazes will give you an opportunity to live the action (and comedy, hopefully) from the film. In the maze guests will follow in the footsteps of the original Ghostbusters: Peter, Ray, Ego, and Winston. The park will artfully recreate classic scenes and locales from the films, including the firehouse, New York Public Library, and the Temple of Gozer.

An army of “ectoplasm dripping phantasms” will attack from every corner. Deeper into the maze, you’ll come face-to-face with more creatures, including famous ones from the film like Slimer and the ultimate destructor form of Gozer the Gozerian (ie. the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man). Presumably this will end with some stream crossing and a big kablooie (will you get covered in Marshmallow goo? Maybe! But that’s just a guess).

Halloween Horror Nights begins September 13 in Hollywood, and September 6 in Orlando. For more on all of the mazes (including Stranger Things, Frankenstein Meets Wolfman, and a bunch more to be announced), check out www.halloweenhorrornights.com/.
