Several Cedar Fair parks will be expanding their night-time entertainment options this year with the addition of a limited time night-time spectacular, taking place during the summer months.
Cedar Fair will present Grand Carnivale, a one-of-a-kind immersive evening spectacular featuring a high-spirited parade and nightly street party; the richly-themed event will spotlight a kaleidoscope of cultures with food, drink and live entertainment from around the world. This time limited event takes place at four parks this summer:
- June 15-July 7: Kings Dominion and Kings Island
- July 13-August 4: Worlds of Fun
- July 20-August 11: Dorney Park
Grand Carnivale will engage park guests in the energy, splendor and mystery of China, France, Germany, India and Italy with authentic food, signature beverages, music, dance and performances each evening. Festivities include the Spectacle of Color interactive parade featuring nine ornate floats, with costumed performers tossing an abundance of colorful bead strands to draw guests into the action.
Spectacle of Color Parade
Take in extraordinary sights and sounds of sparkling floats and extravagantly costumed performers during the Spectacle of Color parade hosted by the King of Carnivale. An electrifying musical score fills the air as a larger-than-life elephant, Bollywood performers, a Jules Verne airship and more take to the street to delight park guests. Activities and interactive experiences make this one parade you won’t want to miss.
Carnivale Street Party
As the parade concludes, thunderous music builds to a crescendo and the King of Carnivale kicks off a street party filled with performers, an interactive dance party and more.

Grand Carnivale’s Spectacle of Color parade will feature custom-tailored floats by industry-leading scenic experience designer 3dx, as well as Kern Studios, the company that has crafted floats for the iconic Mardi Gras celebration in New Orleans since 1947.
