Wild Adventures Adding Adventure Area in 2019

Wild Adventures in Valdosta, Georgia, today announced plans for a new family-friendly “Adventure Area” that will feature six rides including a small roller coaster.

The roller coaster pictured in the rendering above appears to be very similar to the park’s former Fiesta Express coaster that closed in 2011. According to RCDB, it hasn’t been relocated, so the park could simply be rebuilding the coaster in this new area.

Guests will also be able to spin on the Flying Gators (as seen above) and bounce up and down on the Hoppin’ Gators (the green “Frog Hopper” tower ride in the top right corner of the rendering).

The area will be built around a live alligator exhibit. Perhaps more thrilling than the rides will be the rope bridge suspended above a gator pond:

Guests will also be able to feed alligators inside Alligator Alley.

The Gator Nursery will offer guests a glimpse at baby alligators, while the Gators! show will educate guests on the different alligator species and their habitats.

The new area represents one of the biggest expansions in the park’s history since it was purchased by Herschend Family Entertainment (the parent company of parks such as Dollywood and Silver Dollar City) in 2011.

More information is available on the park’s website.
