Six Flags Over Texas and La Ronde Adding Larson Loops in 2019

Each park in the Six Flags family announced something new for 2019 earlier today. La Ronde and Six Flags Over Texas joined in on the fun, with both parks announcing that they will be adding Larson Loops next season, though both are different sizes.

Chaos at La Ronde

Six Flags’ Canadian property, La Ronde will be adding a Giant Loop in 2019, named Chaos. Six Flags created a French and English version of the teaser video!

Made by Larson International in Fairview, TX, the Giant Loop is a 7 story high version of their Fire Ball attraction.

The 22M Giant Loop is a unique circular freestanding structure with a high capacity – high speed train. Riders hop aboard and begin rocking back and forth, gaining momentum quickly until reaching the top. The train races around the track and then stops you upside down, reverses direction, and starts all over again. The Giant Loops are capable of doing 10 rotations in One Minute.

Lone Star Revolution at Six Flags over Texas

They say everything is bigger in Texas, and this announcement is no exception, as the new Lone Star Revolution is being billed as the World’s Largest Loop “Coaster.”

A full 30′ taller than its Canadian counterpart, Lone Star Revolution has a size similar to that of Mardi Gras Hangover at Six Flags Great America, which opened earlier this year.

“The Six Flags brand is synonymous with innovation at the highest level and we are excited to welcome another record-breaking attraction to an already stellar thrill ride arsenal,” said Park President Steve Martindale. “This Texas-sized single loop coaster offers an intense, heart-pounding experience unlike any other ride in the park.”

Each of these Larson Loops will open in 2019. For more information, be sure to visit the respective websites for La Ronde and Six Flags Over Texas.
