We still have to wait a few months until Silver Dollar City’s new-for-2018 Time Traveler spinning coaster welcomes its first riders, but the coaster has already begun testing.
The park sent us a video showing one of the intricately themed 16-seat trains making the initial 100-foot vertical plunge right out of a station. Talk about starting with a bang!

Unfortunately, the video doesn’t show the rest of the layout, but I’m sure that we’ll see more over the next few weeks.
When it opens next year, Time Traveler will be the world’s tallest, fastest and steepest spinning coaster.
Time Traveler manufacturer Mack unveiled the coaster’s train at last month’s IAAPA Expo in Orlando.
If you visit Silver Dollar City during the park’s “Old Time Christmas” event through Dec. 30, you may catch a glimpse of the coaster testing.
