Attraction Awards 2017: Nominate

It’s that time of year again — we are now accepting nominations for the 2017 Attraction Awards! This year’s categories include everything from desserts to virtual reality. Keep reading to learn more and nominate!

Every year, we accept your nominations for a variety of categories related to roller coasters, parks and the amusement industry.

We’ll narrow down the list of nominees before releasing polls for each category. You’ll then have the chance to vote for your favorite.

The nomination form is at the bottom of this post below the categories. The nomination period will run through Sunday, May 21, 2017.

Keep in mind: this is a lighthearted, nonscientific poll.

1. Best New-for-2016 Attraction

Roller coasters and beyond — 2016 saw the opening of some stellar attractions. Which one in particular do you think stands above the rest?

2. Best Park Snapchat

Snapchat has quickly become one of the most popular social media platforms, and many parks are now using it to connect with fans. Which park do you think has the best Snapchat account?

3. Best Special Event

From holidays to food and music, parks’ special events add another layer of fun to your visit. Which park-specific special event do you think is the best?

4. Best VR Attraction

Virtual reality (VR) has taken the amusement industry by storm. Which attraction uses VR technology better than any of the others? Note: this can be an existing attraction that has been “converted” to incorporate VR headsets.

5. Best Dessert

Theme parks and food go hand in hand, and sweets are one important part of many parks’ culinary offerings. Which park do you think has the best dessert? Be specific!
