Fun Spot America Announces Looping Wooden Coaster for 2017

Fun Spot America amusement park (the Kissimmee, Florida, location), has announced plans to build an inverting wooden roller coaster. The Gravity Group coaster is expected to open summer 2017.

Fun Spot America CEO John Arie Jr stated: “This is huge news not just for us but the city of Kissimmee as this will be the only wooden roller coaster in the southeast United States that will feature a 360 degree barrel roll.”

He continued: “…we have worked tirelessly with the Gravity Group to design a ride that will be a must ride coaster for any thrill seeker and coaster enthusiast, definitely bucket-list worthy.”

He revealed that he and his team are still determining the wooden coaster’s theme, name and “sponsorship opportunities.”

Fun Spot America Theme Parks’s two parks are located in the Central Florida region: one in Orlando and the other in Kissimmee (the recipient of the 2017 wooden coaster). In 2013, the Orlando park opened Wild Lightning, a Great Coasters International wooden coaster.
