The Planet Coaster computer game won’t be officially released until later this year, but those who have purchased the “alpha” preview of the game are already playing a limited version of the theme park simulator (myself included — stay tuned for a review).
The Planet Coaster game preview was recently updated to “V0.2,” and the game’s developers have shared videos showcasing the new tracks and trains featured in this new version of the game. Check them out below:
Floorless Coaster
First up, we have a classic floorless train. This particular train seems to be heavily inspired by Bolliger & Mabillard’s floorless coaster. You’ll find that Bolliger & Mabillard coasters are a recurring them in this selection of tracks.
Flying Coaster
The flying coaster, another Bolliger & Mabillard-esque coaster, favors SeaWorld Orlanod’s Manta.
Hydraulic Launched Coaster
The “hydraulic launched coaster” reminds me of Formula Rossa, the world’s fastest roller coaster — an Intamin accelerator coaster at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi.
Wing Coaster
Again we have another Bolliger & Mabillard-inspired track: the wing coaster. The attention to detail on these trains is absolutely phenomenal.
Dive Coaster
And last but not least, we have a dive coaster, seemingly modeled after Bolliger & Mabillard’s dive coaster. This one closely resembles Griffon at Busch Gardens Williamsburg.
