Hersheypark Prepares for Family-Friendly Halloween 2015

Halloween month has arrived, and Hersheypark is touting “sweets, treats and front-row seats” (they had me at sweets) for the spooky holiday season.

While many parks focus on their fright-laden offerings, Hersheypark is taking more of a family-friendly approach with kid-friendly trick-or-treat outings, a flashlight walking experience at ZooAmerica and more.

The fun takes place Fridays through Sundays from October 16 through November 1, and includes:

Hersheypark In The Dark, which features more than 50 rides and attractions including the park’s 13 roller coasters and Halloween-themed entertainment.

New for 2015, the park’s newest coaster, Laff Trakk, the nation’s only indoor, spinning glow-coaster, will operate in complete darkness the last hour of each operating evening along with the park’s three wooden coasters.

Hershey’s Trick-or-Treat Adventure features a “candy trail that starts at Hershey’s Chocolate World and continues through Treatville, a seasonal town inside Hersheypark, for children 12 and younger — costumes are encouraged.”

Creatures Of The Night at ZooAmerica, where guests can experience the Zoo after dark to see the nocturnal habits of North American species. The Zoo team delights select animals with pumpkin treats, too. Separate admission is also available at the Zoo’s off-street entrance.
