July is here, which means it’s time to begin our annual photography contest!
We have three categories to enter this year: original, edited and Instagram (new this year). See below for more information on entry categories and contest rules.
Photo entries will be accepted through Sunday, July 19, 2015.

Photo Entry Categories
1. Original
These photos should not be noticeably altered. Minor retouching is acceptable. Black-and-white photos are also acceptable.
2. Edited
These photos should showcase extensive editing and/or special effects.
3. Instagram (NEW)
Enter a photo straight from the Instagram mobile photo-sharing platform. You must submit an Instagram photo link for this category. We’ll save the photo so your profile will not be made public.
NOTE: Instagram videos may not be entered (this is a photo contest, after all!).
Rules & Information
- Photos may be entered through Sunday, July 19, 2015.
- Participants may submit one photo per category.
- Photos may be no larger than 2mb in size.
- The entered photo must have been taken by the submitter (with the exception of a purchased on-ride photograph).
- Entries should contain at least one roller coaster in the photo.
- By entering a photo, the photographer agrees to allow Coaster101 to use the photo for future photo contest promotions.

Voting
Voting will begin on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 and will run through Sunday, July 26, 2015. Voters will choose their favorite photo from each category. Voters may vote only once.
Along with voting conducted on the website, each category will also have its own gallery on our Facebook page. Additional votes will be given for each Facebook “like” the photo receives.
Winners
A first place winner and an honorable mention will be named for each category, as determined by readers’ votes. First place winners will receive a Coaster101 prize pack including prizes from parks across the country!
